Orlando-based Williams Company has started work on a $3.4 million Goodwill Industries retail store and job center in Apopka, which will be the nonprofit’s ninth Central Florida store built with U.S. materials.

With 23,000 square feet being constructed at 1312 Semoran Blvd., Apopka, the new facility is slated for completion in October. C.T. Hsu + Associates designed the center. Williams and Goodwill partnered on their first “Made in America” store in 2012.

In addition to the retail operation, the new project will include a processing area, a donation drop-off center and a Job Connection Center providing free vocational and job placement services.

In addition, Williams will start work in November on Westminster, Baldwin Park’s new $8.5 million Skilled Nursing Facility. Developed by Westminster Communities of Florida, the center is being designed by Bessolo Design Group Inc. and will have 36,648 square feet.
