54th Annual Apopka Art and Foliage Festival

As you drive down 441 or Park Avenue in downtown Apopka, lift your eyes and behold the new Apopka Art and Foliage Festival banners attached to the light poles. Over the years the Apopka Woman’s Club has done a tremendous amount of work to beautify our community . About a decade ago, it was decided to establish a President’s Project each year. The President comes up with an idea and goes to work on it. The gazebo in the park was part of one of these projects. This year, President Dena Morrow’s Project is the new banners advertising The Apopka Art and Foliage Festival, April 25th and 26th.

The Apopka Woman’s Club is celebrating the 54th year of the Apopka Art and Foliage Festival. Over the years, the festival has developed into a community venture. The local government, local civic organizations and youth groups are an integral part of the weekend.

Art and Craft vendors of the Festival display their imaginative ideas and skills so that the park participants can enjoy the beauty and creativity.

The festival also brings the finest array of foliage directly from wholesale growers. This is the one time during the year that the many varieties of plants are made available to the public.

During this year’s art and foliage festival take time out to study the many forms of art and crafts that will be on display. Enjoy the varieties of plants. The Art and Foliage Festival is not only a gardener’s paradise, but also an area where we think you will be better able to appreciate what art is all about by viewing it rather than reading about it. The Park is already full this year with over 125 artists and crafters.

So, enjoy the artistic, colorful banners inviting you to the festival and come out and spend the day in the beautiful shady Kit Land Nelson Park in downtown Apopka.
