MicroscopeWe have a number of events for children and teens to learn about technology during the March Break, which runs from March 24-28.

Whiz Kids- Introduction to Solar Power Using Snap Circuits
By using snap circuits to explore the power of the sun, the kids will learn how to build solar powered alarms, radios and experiment with light levels. Fun for everyone 8years old and up. Children under 12 must register with an adult, guardian or older sibling.

Whiz Kids: Electronic LED Greeting Cards
Create an original greeting card with a flashing LED! Use electronic components and conductive paint to construct a simple circuit. Learn basic electronic concepts like polarity, switches, conductivity and LED’s. There is a material cost for this project of $5 for all attendees.

TechKrew: Introduction to Basic Soldering
Build a simple circuit with a soldering iron and components. Learn to safely use a soldering iron correctly to join components and wires. There is a material cost for this project of $15 for all attendees.
