October Book Club Meetings











Another month has gone by and it is time once again to discuss the books we’ve read, and pick up copies of the new book for the coming book club discussion. Here’s what’s going on this month.


Brown Bag Book Club

Enjoy the recreation of Pride and Prejudice as new plot twists see the beloved characters scrambling to deal with murder and chaos.


Southwest Book Club

Tell the Wolves I’m Home by Carol Rifka Brunt
A 15 year old girl comes to terms with the death of her uncle, who dies from AIDS in 1980’s New York.


Southeast Book Club
Monday October 14, 6:30pm
Bath Pond by Lowell Teal
A heartwarming tale about a family who navigates the aftermath of The Great Depression.


Hiawassee Book Club

The Dress Maker of Khair Khana by Gale Tzemach Lemmon
A true story about a girl named, Kamila Sidiq, who becomes the sole provider for her family when her brother and father are forced to flee Kabul. Through her determination and grit she begins a dress making business which becomes the fabric that keeps her family together.
