Here are a number of book and music clubs available through your local branch of the Orange County Library System.

Cuatro Gatos Book Club
South Creek Branch Wednesdays 7pm
Orlando Public Library, Palm Room Thursday September 12 and 26, 2013 at 6pm
This Spanish language book club discusses literature, art music and more. Join this group to learn more about Latin American culture.


Brown Bag Book Club

Come and discuss The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnette. Orphan Mary Lennox finds escape in the gardens that surround her uncle’s house. When she finds a mysterious key, Mary might fall into a great adventure.


South East Book Club

Take part in a discussion of a nonfiction book of your choosing. Be sure to bring the book with you to your book club meeting.


South Creek Music Club
South Creek Branch
Thursday September 12 and 26, 2013 at 6:30pm
Share your favorite musicians, bands, songs and talents. A great way for the whole family to broadcast themselves and show their appreciation for music. Bring your instruments and join the fun.


Hiawassee Book Club

Enjoy refreshments and discuss The Obituary Writer by Ann Hood. This mystery/love story follows two women living very different lives. One is an obituary writer and the other is a wife torn between staying in her marriage or chasing after the man she truly loves. Their surprising connection will change their lives in unexpected ways.


South West Book Club

We will be discussing the new book by Erik Laresen, In the Garden of Beasts. Erik’s new novel is set in Germany during Hitler’s rise to power. The time is 1933, the place is Berlin. William E Dodd becomes America’s first Ambassador to Germany in a year that proved to be a turning point in history.
