Orlando Public Library, Library Central
Members of the Florida Surface Design Association display fiber and fabric art. The group’s mission is to increase awareness, understanding and appreciation of textiles in the art and design communities as well as in the general public.

Experience Ancient Rome, Legio VI-Florida Cohort
Orlando Public Library
Legio VI-Florida Cohort brings history to life through artifacts, reconstructions and re-enactments of first century Rome. Florida Cohort is affiliated with Legio VI Ferrata Fidelas Constans (Legion Six, “Iron (Clad) Always Faithful”) of Summerville, South Carolina.

Origami by Aki, Al Aki
Southwest Branch
This exhibit features several origami (the Japanese art of paper folding) pieces from the simple to the complex and intricate. One of the pieces, a swan contains 500 pieces of paper.

Summer, Patricia Castro de Paez
Patricia Castro de Paez’s love and respect for the natural environment is whimsically and passionately expressed in vibrate original water color flora paintings. A Meet the Artist event is scheduled for Thursday, July 10 at 6:30 p.m.
