Art Displays and Events at OCLS

This month we are proud to present an ongoing presentation of local artist Delores William Browne’s collection that depicts women in diverse¬†roles as mother, sister, friend, helper, lover and worker.¬†Browne wishes to capture a moment in which the audience can see themselves or someone they know in her art and reflect upon a memory. These paintings can be viewed in the Orlando Public Library in Library Central.

Karplese Musuem Manuscript Collection
Another installment of the Karplese Museum Manuscript Collection brings the magic and art of Sleeping Beauty to the second and third floors of the Orlando Public Library. On display will be mortgages and documents signed by Walt Disney, including his last will and testament. These papers and sketches are available for viewing now so come down to the Orlando Public Library and enjoy a piece of magic today.

Call to Artists
Women in the Arts, Inc. and the Orange County Library System invite professional female artists to submit their work to be exhibited during Women’s History Month. Five finalists will be chosen from the entries submitted. Selected art will be featured in the upcoming Celebrating the Genius of Women exhibition at the Orlando Public Library in March and April 2014.
